Still Stunned!
Monique @ 1:00 pm I am still pretty stunned over how quickly my weight-loss surgery plans have come together. I’ll most likely be going to my all-day pre-op class on the 15th, where I’ll get the scoop on everything. I’ve also found a local message board where I’ve started to connect with people. One reason why I’m pleased with the timing is that I should be able to eat “regular” food when I go home with Thanksgiving … well, not Thanksgiving food, but it will be better than sitting there with my protein drink while everyone else eats lol.
I went grocery shopping today — my pantry was BARE. I spent about $150 (some of it on a few t-shirts and undies at Walmart) but am stocked up for the foreseeable future on WW meals, Crystal Light and Special K with strawberries. I also made a diet cake, something I haven’t in a while … it’s just a box cake mix and a can of diet pop. Mix it together and bake. Voila! I don’t remember the calorie count but it’s really low, basically whatever is in the cake mix without everything else added to it. I made white cake with diet ginger ale (Vernors of course!).
Okay, it’s time to tackle the bathroom … and figure out when I’m going to make my way through the giant pile of laundry in my bedroom …

Congrats on how fast everything is coming together with the surgery. That’s awesome news
Onto the Special K cereal: is the strawberry one good? I usually get the Vanilla one (I think I’m thinking of the same cereal, LOL). I’ve had the Strawberry Chex, and that was nummy, so now I’m looking to try different varieties of cereals with strawberries

I like the special K with strawberries; well, I buy the generic version from Walmart lol. Cereal is so frickin’ expensive! I haven’t tried the strawberry Chex … I saw that yesterday and thought about it, but I didn’t want to be stuck with a big box if I didn’t like it!
