I Know I’m Not Alone Here

When I say that I FUCKING LOVE BARRY MANILOW!

OMG.

Words cannot explain how much I love the cheesy delightfulness of wonderful tunes like Mandy, Trying to Get the Feeling Again and Could It Be Magic. I can listen to those songs over and over and over again.

Imagine my delight today, while driving home, when I stumbled upon an ALL-BARRY HOUR OF MUSIC.

OMG.

I bombarded Miss Lucy and Miss Sodapop with text messages, quoting song lyrics and whatnot. The occasion? Barry’s birthday. On the radio they said he was 65, on Entertainment Tonight they said 62. Regardless, he has had enough surgery to become ageless!

I used to insist on listening to Mandy every single night before I went to bed. That was back in the days of tapes — yes, tapes — and eventually the cassette tape would wear down because I only played the one side and my mom would use scotch tape to attach the ends back together lol. God I love this song. God I love Barry!

  6. Barry has the widest range of listeners and fans. Those who you would never even imagine. My very macho cousin loves him and when we were younger once locked us out of the apartment on the balcony so he could watch the concert on TV. :lol:
