I met MM for dinner last night at the same restaurant we went to last week. Although we were seated on the opposite side of the restaurant, we had the same waitress. I got there first and she remembered me … she was all nosy and asking if I was meeting the same person. But I have to hand it to her, near the end of the meal, she kept an eye on things and when I got up to go to the restroom, she winked at me and took the check over to MM.

We talked for more than 3 hours about a variety of things. It was kind of chaotic because he is good at starting a story then going off into a tangent. I wasn’t feeling super chatty so that was fine with me. He told me about his dad being in the early stages of Alzheimers, and I talked about my grandmother having dementia, but of course I didn’t go into all of the details about how awful that is because, well, that just wouldn’t have been the right thing to do. We talked about crazy dates we’ve had, online directions, movies, whatever.

It was nearly 10 by the time we left and he walked to my car. The temperature was about 25 degrees and the winds had to have been over 30 mph. It was freezing. We chit-chatted briefly then he asked if he could kiss me … of course I said yes. Considering the terrible outdoor conditions, I expected it to be a quick kiss, but no, he went for it LOL. My survival instincts, however, were greater than my desire so after a bit, I was like, dude, I’m going to die. He sent me a text on my way home that said, “Next kiss will be out of the wind and cold!”

I like him but I am not totally sold on him … I’m taking this one slow. There will be no hanging out at each other’s apartments until I’m ready for what that brings. I have a tendency to not think things through while I know damn well that we’ll never make it through a movie! Oh, remember that other guy from match? I’ve still been e-mailing him … I decided to go out with him, just to see. We’re either going to meet tonight after I leave the gym (which would involve me showering and getting ready again, ugh) or lunch this weekend. I’m not going to assume that MM isn’t seeing other women and I might as well keep my options open for the time being!
