I set off today in search of Joann Fabrics. Allegedly there is one on the southside. I never found the damn place. And all I allegedly had to do was get on one road and fucking stay there. What I did find were several places that I used to go to with an ex-boyfriend (Mark, those of you from way back). I hadn’t been over to that part of town in two years, basically since we broke up. He’s married now and lives somewhere around there, but I don’t know where. I was so angry with him when we broke up — oh, how I was angry! — but eh, that’s all gone now. In the beginning, we were just enthralled with each other … but we both pretty much knew we were doomed, because we were both jackasses and attention whores. His pouting at the bowling alley when I kicked his ass is legendary … the couple in the next lane even mocked him. LOL Hmmm that’s kind of a pattern. I usually win in bowling and putt-putt when on dates. Maybe I should watch myself. Yeah, right!!!!!
Since I couldn’t find Joann’s, I ended up at Archiver’s, a scrapbook store. I signed up for this ATC swap on swapbot.com (if you don’t know what an ATC is, like I didn’t, here’s a good site). I was there forevah and picked up a few pieces of paper, some valentine’s chipboard pieces, some valentine’s brads and a few other things. I put one ATC together and I think I’m going to get some rub-on lettering and it will be done. Not bad for my first attempt. I’ll post picks when I’m done.
I bought Dance Dance Revolution for my Wii and let me just say, I am weetarded. OMFG. After nearly an hour of “playing,” I started to get the hang of it … but it is going to be a LONG time before I move out of “beginner” mode!

Rule of thumb, do not throw a tantrum at a bowling alley. Especially if you’re a guy on a date. you just can’t remain a true man for the rest of the night when you pull one of those and it could ruin you for the rest week or month with the lady and after it passes she’s always going to remember.
There is one of those fabric stores near me and I can’t stand them. I was dragged into those types of places as a kid where I threw my own tantrums. Why would any parental figure bring their kid there? SICK!

Melissa — Thanks for stopping by! DDR is *hard*!!!! But I think once I get the hang of it, it will be good exercise … and it is fun. I love my Wii!
Ricardo — That seals it. When I do make it to your neck of the woods, you’re coming to the scrapbook store with me! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

What is this Dance, Dance Revolution you speak of??? I’ve never heard of it? I just got Guitar Hero III for the Wii and I’m like a crack addict with a pipe.
I so wish I had the time and patience for scrapbooking but I wouldn’t even know where to begin. Right now I’m sitting here with a f-ton of pictures trying to put something together for Dude’s 50th birthday.

You just need to practice on the Dance Dance Revolution day and night…
My daughters have this game for their Wii, and they play on it nearly EVERY day (since last Christmas). They have become great! It is amazing to watch them dance on it.
So you just need to practice daily…
Of course, at ages 12 and 13, my daughters have the benefit of youth.

Also, I second the Guitar Hero comment. That was their present this year, and the girls play it constantly…

Okay, see…I thought the DDR would be too hard for someone like me with NEGATIVE rhythm.
I wanna see your ATCs! I’ve been afraid to try them in case someone says I suck and stuff. LOL I love making inchies, too. I am currently hosting a swap where we exchange rubber stamp images. Whee! I gotta head to JoAnns for some new stamps soon because I know they have new ones that I haven’t touched yet.
