I. Am. So. EXCITED!!!! I can’t wait to get to Vegas Saturday night, see Miss Sodapop and then hit the road Monday morning. Today I got the urge to look online to see where my grandfather was born, as I knew it was somewhere in Oklahoma. Turns out it’s not far at all out of our way and pretty close to Tulsa, our stopping point Tuesday night. I was thanking Baby Jesus that grandpa moved to Detroit to work in the factory as soon as he was old enough, because I cannot even IMAGINE living in some place called Okmulgee, Oklahoma (it is, however, the capital of the Creek Nation).
Miss Laci swung by today on her way to Chicago to rendezvous with Miss Lucy for the Fall Out Boy concert tomorrow night. Mr. Man took quite the liking to Miss Laci … of course she was wearing a black t-shirt and ended up covered in Mr. Man fur.
Here’s an odd tidbit for ya: Motherfucker’s friend Brian deleted me as a friend on MySpace today. Of course I haven’t talked to Brian in four months but still. Eh, who knows. Still haven’t heard from Matt; who knows if I will … I gots bigger and better things to do!!!

I will be somewhere between Indiana and Colorado, making my way to Las Vegas to see the lovely and talented Miss Sodapop so we can start our road trip. We’re staying one night with the lovely and talented Miss Lucy aaaaaaaaand I get to see the lovely and talented Miss Laci tomorrow when she stops by on her way to Chicago to rendezvous with Miss Lucy. The Scandalous Bitches are a traveling bunch!
I was hoping to find a secret stash of underwear so I wouldn’t have to do laundry tomorrow but no such luck. I have had a washer and dryer at my disposal for 7 or 8 years … to have to go to the laundromat after all that time SUCKS! I knew it would be an inconvenience but ugggggh. I was looking online to find a place to go and they all look pretty skanky. There are units in the basement of the building but I don’t really want to hang out there either. I guess I’ll have to suck it up and be a trooper. Gah.

Raise your hand if you use a radar detector … yeah, I don’t either. But there are plenty of people who do. My dad did, when he drove his sporty Beemer back in the day, and a recent ex-boyfriend had one in his Mustang. I don’t know much about radar detectors, but these people sure do — they can direct you to radar detector reviews. As the folks at Escort point out, different reviewers have different perspectives, and each reviewer evaluates radar detectors differently. Don’t take any one review as the final word. Do your research, and get a balanced opinion by seeing what all the reviewers have to say, and decide for yourself … and here is a great place to start!

While a lot of us may like our jobs, bottom line, money is the most important thing. I mean, it’s not like I’d keep going to work if the paychecks stopped rolling in. A lot of company’s recognize this and now, pay for performance is an important trend. I mean, we’ve all got that one co-worker who does jack shit at work but gets paid more than you do, right? However, properly rewarding top producers and allocating pay increases across an organization can be a complex, laborious and error-prone task—especially if it is being managed manually using a plethora of spreadsheets and paper.
Check ‘em out!

Ugh. Long day. I got home about 8:30 tonight; after work I went to the old apartment to pack up more stuff, then stopped by the library to kill time before going to see Miss Amber for a cut/color/highlight. I’m trying to relax and I do believe that watching Criminal Minds is not the way to do it. Creepy ass show.

So yesterday I decided to enroll in an MBA program. My employer offers tuition assistance and hell, I want my ‘07 moola, lol. Since yesterday morning, I have:
– Filled out the application.
– Applied for a PIN to complete the FAFSA (in case the school wants to give me some $$!).
– Started my professional-goals statement.
– Decided on the self-designed program (to incorporate marketing, technology and project management).
– Ordered an official copy of my college transcript.
– Found my unofficial copy of my college transcripts.
– Updated my resume.
– Told my boss.
Phew.
What do I have left to do?
– Scan and e-mail the unofficial transcript.
– E-mail my resume.
– Finish and e-mail my goals statement.
– Turn in the tuition reimbursement form to HR.
Classes start on 10-29 … on the 26th, I get home from my road trip with Miss Sodapop, on the 27th I’m going out for Halloween, on the 28th I’ll probably recover from a hangover and sleep, and boom! Time for school. Thank gawd for online programs — and I’m glad they have a better reputation now. I’d still prefer a brick and mortar school, but the specializations I’m looking for aren’t easy to find. Miss Monique isn’t interested in finance or accounting. My brain don’t work that way. ![]()

I work for a large company but I don’t know much about the business of doing business — since I’m going to be starting an MBA program, I guess I’ll learn, lol. Did you know that there are companies that can help you assess corporate performance management? PROPHIX’s ease of use and minimal IT involvement provide the benefit of rapid implementation and a lower total cost of ownership. If you own a business and need some assistance, give Prophix a look!
