I planned to be a busy bee Friday night but instead went out to dinner (Chipotle) and then to a movie (Death at a Funeral) with my friend Denise. Both dinner and the movie were so-so; the movie was funny but you know the guy who played Steve the pirate in Dodgeball? He was in it and he had a British accent. And it was disconcerting because hello, he’s so obviously Steve the pirate. And is he British or American? Either way, he either did a hell of a job as Steve the pirate or a so-so job as Simon the solicitor. It had some really funny scenes though; I just thought it was a bit of a Four Weddings and a Funeral rip-off, even though that movie is, what, 15 years old?

My apartment is a total disaster zone. OMG. I can hardly stand it. Boxes, bags, crap everywhere. This morning I went out to my garage to clear out the crap in there. The opener wouldn’t work. Greaaat. I went over to the gas station closest to me and of course they didn’t have the battery I needed. Sigh. So I drove about 15 minutes to the freakin’ Batteries Plus store to spend $2.99 on a battery I’ll use for a month. Once I got into my garage, OMFG, so much stuff. So much stuff I don’t know what to do with. I took two carloads of empty boxes to the dumpster … I’m just going to focus on packing up what I want the movers to deal with next weekend and then figure out what I’m going to do with what I don’t want.
