Asshat finally called about 7:30 and came to get me. He seemed very happy to see me. We got to the restaurant and had to wait about 20 minutes; I had a beer, he wisely drank water all night. (He had been at the track all day and was drinking free beer and also vodka and red bulls.) I balanced my two gigantic mozzarella sticks with a veggie burger, which I barely touched. We were going to see a movie but the theater was packed. No parking spots to be found, so we went to Blockbuster and rented “Fay Grim,” a quirky movie with Parker Posey and Jeff Goldblum. I kept expecting her to be funny but it was a more serious, espionage-ish movie. I’ll have to re-watch it next week because not even halfway through, Asshat made his move. I stopped things at making out, though. Really, I was just kind of tired and I have to drive to Michigan tomorrow … and honestly, bar things with boytoy, I never give it up on the first date (I told him that about 2+ years, this would be considered the 1st date, not the 5th or 6th or whatever.)

Then … he fucking started falling asleep. Granted, I have a super fabulous comfy couch and a super fabulous blanket but I did not want this guy I haven’t seen in 2+ years falling asleep in my apartment. My front door can only be locked outside from a key or inside by turning the lock, so you can’t leave and lock the door behind you without a key, sooooo I wasn’t going to leave him on the couch and I wasn’t bringing him to bed because I figured he wouldn’t be much good to me there anyway! Finally, just before midnight he left. Thank you baby Jesus.

So … not super fabulous but not super awful either. Jury’s still out.
