A Testing We Will Go …

It dawned on me the other day that it’s been a year since my last HIV test. Since I fit a few of the risk factors — although I am very insistent on condoms for intercourse but not so much for other activities, and I have had more than one partner in the past year — I’m going to get tested tomorrow. ‘Cause I don’t have anything else planned so why not have some excitement by going to the free clinic downtown?!

Actually, I didn’t realize it was free testing until I went to the web page; I told a friend where I was going to go and he said, nope, too many hookers, and pointed me in another direction. This place offers services primarily to the gay community but of course will take anyone … and I’ll make a donation, not only because I’m coming from the ‘burbs but because I have friends who are HIV+ and have used the clinic’s counseling services. While I’m 99% sure that I’m A-OK, it never hurts to know for sure. So heads up, be prepared tomorrow for Miss Monique’s Trip for HIV Testing! Wheeeeeee!
