So, Yeah …

I cancelled on my dining companion for the evening.

My friend had this date the other night, and she thought she was interested, but after spending time with the guy, she realized they weren’t a good match, even though he was a really nice guy. But he is really into her.

Eh, I’m not even thinking I’m interested. I’d see this guy, but not in any date-like setting, and certainly not at a restaurant where dinner is going to cost him $50. I don’t even like sushi all that much!

So, yeah, I feel like a bitch. But whatever. I’ve been too nice before and it hasn’t gotten me anywhere.

I guess I like my life as it is, and it would take a lot for me to change it.

  1. i kind of understand. my deal? i don’t date - i just hoang out with people (sometimes guys) whose company i enjoy. if you don’t enjoy the company then why spend time together? he’ll survive.

  3. Monique I’m confused, your girlfriend went out with the same guy you had a date with?

  4. Sorry, Grins, what I wrote made sense to me at the time lol. No, my friend had a date with a guy that she wasn’t all that into, and after hearing about her uncomfortable evening, I decided to bail on my date/potentially uncomfortable evening with a different guy.
