So I got an e-mail today from my ex-bf Mark, with whom I have not spoken in oh, six months — a group e-mail nonetheless — advertising his latest theatrical venture. Community theater. Oh, how the mighty have fallen from the days of Six Flags.
Anyway. Can anyone explain to me what the fuck this poster is about, ’cause nothing says high ka-wal-a-tee like the combination of Bill Shakespeare and an outhouse.
Oh, here’s the best part — this was the text of the e-mail:
“Hey Everybody!! Here is the flyer for my latest theatrical endeavor. I would love to see lots of friends there, but I realize many are busy or out of town. I think of my friends every day. Love to all! Mark”
I think of my friends every day? Sweet Jesus. A pithy retort is forthcoming … as soon as I think of one, that is LOL.
Edited to include my semi-pithy retort: “You can remove me from your e-mail list. Suffice it to say I am busy. All of those nights.” Not my best, but it will do.
