So The Ladies …

at I Talk 2 Much gave me 3 boots. That’s right, (Note from Monique: One of the new bitches) hated my blog, as I knew whomever reviewed it would, because oh my gosh, I’m dating and I actually care if the guys I like like me.

Well, guess what? I got 74 hits off of my listing on their site today.

I like my blog about my life. That’s why I write it.

And as to the suggestion that I buy a pink journal, mine is green. And it has a tree on it.

Thanks for the traffic.

Added March 21 — 14 more hits today! Ha! lol

  1. When I turned 30 I realized that being a “grown up” was highly overrated. I had already had a child, I had been married and divorced and I was tired of pretending that I didn’t get butterflies when he called or that dating was something that had changed ten years later…

I know women who wear pink and love it. I know women who collect stuffed animals. I know women who collect stickers. It doesn’t make them less of women or any more of less mature…

Frankly, whenever I see people who criticize others for not “acting like an adult” or not “acting their age” I have to smile because I know that, eventually, they’re going to stop trying so hard to be a “grown-up” and realize that it’s a lot more fun and a whole lot easier to just be.

    *shrug* Not everyone gets that.

But, just FYI, it wasn’t Bitter Bitch who did your review. You got a new girl. BB actually had some nice things to say about you…

  4. I am pink because it’s spring, finally, dammit! And I’m really more relieved about it than I’ve ever been in my life.
Some people want to read Other Stuff when they read. I happen to like what you write here, so I come back. And would probably no matter what it looked like, unless it was really hard on my eyes. I’m always continually amazed when someone returns to read me after a first time because I know I rarely make sense.

  5. LMAO…You go, girl!

I think you have a great blog. Keep it up.

    Cheers,

  7. Ah well. I got four smacks, but it seems like it was more for content as opposed to design issues. You have a MUCH nicer looking blog than I do. And, I don’t know, I found you a pretty cool read. It all depends on who reviews you.

Anyway, she spelled the title of your blog wrong on her review, further proving that no one is perfect. Heh.

    Take care!

  8. I like your blog. Those girls - though they’re funny, and I read them every day, they have a certain sort of blog they want to see, and, well, if you’re not that, then you get 3 boots.

    I’ll still read you!!

  9. Thank you all for the lovely comments. I spent way too much of my life being “responsible” and now that I’ve left him behind (lol), I am enjoying being silly and goofy and girlie — and guess what? People who don’t know me routinely guess I’m still in my 20s! Ha! That’s reason enough for me. And thanks, fyregoddess, for pointing out my identification error. No wonder I couldn’t match the icon from one side of the screen to the other lol. : )

  10. I say stay true to yourself. Make the blog plaid if that’s what you like… it’s all in good fun. I know if I had a blog they might say I was filled with drama… but then I would take that to the extreme… maybe do some banners of them on BE or something… because in the end… all of it is in good fun.

    That’s “if” I had a blog…

  11. Oh Phantom … a blog, banners … surely YOU could do such a thing! A little drama never hurt anyone.

I’m thinking I need to disallow anonymous comments … you never know what kind of riff-raff will show up. But do come back and visit some more!

  12. I love your blog…so much so, that now that I am on blogger I wanted to add you to my must reads but of course, as technologically challenged as I am…I couldn’t figure out how!

  13. I think your blog is cute as hell, and I can relate, totally, to your experiences with dating after divorce. It is way more exciting to me than it ever was in high school or college.

    Good luck to you!
